"The Performance Massage internship was an amazing experience that has truly set me apart from other therapists. The flow of knowledge was endless and the experience working on top notch athletes under two very accomplished and highly regarded therapists in the professional athlete arena was priceless. We learned to navigate the body with specificity, advanced performance Massage techniques, strategies for implementation, and insight on how to set yourself apart in the industry.

Kika and Roberto embody what it means to be a professional and foster an amazing learning environment to thrive in. I'm very grateful to be able to have had an opportunity to be influenced and molded by them at such an early stage in my career. Additionally, I was able to network with other like-minded individuals most of whom were just starting their careers like I was. I have and will continue to recommend any therapist looking to really take their practice to another level to participate in the internship."

"I recently participated in Mela Therapeutics Massage Therapy Internship for the 2017 NFL draft prep class at Bommaritos Performance Systems facility. Deciding to participate in this one of a kind internship was the best decision that I could have made for myself. From reviewing the basic knowledge that was taught in massage therapy school, to Kika and Roberto going above and beyond teaching new knowledge and new skills that they had acquired through school, certifications and experience.

I not only learned about medical care for high-end athletes, I learned more about professionalism with the athletes, coaches, chiropractors, physical therapists, athletic trainers and other staff members. I learned the importance of working with everyone for the betterment of the physical well-being of the athlete.

Since the internship, I have incorporated the knowledge and skills I gained in my massage therapy career as well as my athletic training career. This type of opportunity has supported growth of my professional knowledge and skills and will support my continuous professional development. I would recommend this internship program to other massage therapists."
